Free OA Treatment in Ghana

Free OSTENIL® PLUS Treatments for Underprivileged People in Ghana

TRB Chemedica (UK) Ltd is supporting UK clinicians in their overseas charitable work by donating free of charge OSTENIL® PLUS injections. The sodium hyaluronate pre-filled syringes, prescribed extensively in Europe and the USA to treat osteoarthritis, will be used by charitable organisation, Motec Life–UK. The charity provides health care services to underprivileged people in West Africa, particularly in Ghana.

Motec Life–UK is a “medical charity based in West Hertfordshire comprising volunteer and allied health professionals whose objectives are to provide educational, training and health care services to the underprivileged people of the West African subcontinent.”

Founding President of Motec Life–UK, Mr Paul Ofori-Atta MB ChB FRCS, states that “This has arrived at a very important time in our history as we celebrate 10 years of our Charity this October. The medications will be part of our free treatment programme for osteoarthritis planned for our working visit to Ghana in October. Patient selection will be made in our various orthopaedic clinics which will be running in Ghana on the Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th of September in Ghana.”

We wish Mr Ofori-Atta and his team all the best in their work.
